Song Of The Week : Don’t Shoot – Loose Screws

“We were inspired to write this song because we are all human beings first before we are a color. Loose Screws is a multi-ethnic group and to even think that our brother can be a target simply because of the color of his skin, makes us sick to our stomachs. It’s time to stand up, speak out and love each other regardless of color, sex, religion, orientation and creed”, says Briana, Loose Screws group member.

“DON’T SHOOT”” was produced by Dre Knight and written by C Eze, D. Knight, M. McClendon, T. Armantroute, B. Turner and C. Farrar.

LOOSE SCREWS generated a huge internet buzz during the Spring of 2013 with the debut release of their smash single “I’M A STAR”. The video received a great amount of support from the fans, industry tastemakers and celebrities that included; Tyrese, Chris Brown, Tank, Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace, Sway, The Baka Boyz, DJ Enuff among others and reached over 550,000 views on youtube.

Hailing from Muncie, IN, this rap trio brings forth a refreshingly energetic sound to music. With no intention of being boxed into one genre, Freeze and TannerMan have managed to infuse hip hop with both rock n’ roll and pop influences while delivering vicious verses. Bri-Z-ana, the songstress of the three, provides the refreshing vocals, which gives us a pleasant break in the energy the guys effortlessly bring to each track.

The group is currently working on their debut project, titled “Still Screwin’ Around”, release date to be announced.
